The Happies of '05
From the majority of my posts, it would seem I don't have many, but I do. It just takes a little longer to remember them.
A Few New Hobbies.
Early this year, I dove headfirst into comics once again. There's so much great stuff to be read in comics, I really kick myself for not getting into them sooner. Nothing I can't catch up on though. My pull list has grown to obscene proportions, and I'm constantly ordering more Trades so I can read some of the older stuff. I'm well and truly addicted now.
Another hobby I picked up recently is Mixed Martial Arts. Not participating, my knees explode at the thought, but following and watching. I'm currently going through the history of Pride FC (just finished watching Pride 5), and will be getting UFC dvds soon. May keep up with K-1 kickboxing too. I've always loved combat sports and pro wrestling, and with my total eradication of interest in the latter, MMA has stepped in and made me happy. Mom's hooked on it too.
.....I've been wanting to start painting again too, but that's for '06.
Doors Open.
As you may or may not know, I've had a grudge against my brother for years now. Both for reasons justified, and unjustified.
Well, recently Mom and Misty visited him, and really resolved the majority of issues between them.
This turned into me going along for the christmas visit. Honestly, I wish we could've stayed longer. The whole visit felt completely different than what I was used to. Maybe it was my attitude going into it, but everything felt....better. I didn't feel out of place, or small and unimportant. I need to plan a trip where I go up to visit alone. A trip where much talking can take place.
Christmas.
These just keep getting better and better. There's to much to go into detail with, but I had nothing but fun. Maybe something from the visit to Dustin's lingered, but I felt different, more confident. I seemed to get more respect this time around to. Maybe I'm holding myself different. I don't know.
Friends.
This goes without saying, but the month of being among my friends was no doubt the best month I can remember. Only downside was that it had to end. I hate endings.
